Made by two different kinds of clay using two different clay slabs, the lighter in color forming the hood  over a robe with a cord as a waistband, a garment similar to the one of a capuchin monk. The monk is depicted in various hand poses and its creation was inspired by contemplating on the meaning of christianity.

Since 1983, I ‘ve been studying pottery and working with clay and it’s multitude of techniques and participated in various artistic and commercial exhibitions locally and abroad. I’ ve been also occupied as an instructor, teaching pottery to professional training schools and been a founding member of the cultural group “Keramon” which is dedicated to the support and strengthening of this ancient craft. From 1988 I ‘ve created my own workshop in Iraklion, Crete where I live and work ’till today.
